A travel blog does not need much about you. This page lists everything this site collects, in plain language, including what advertising partners collect.
What is collected
Every visit. The page, the page you came from, your approximate country and your device type, through Google Analytics. Used to see which guides are read and worth updating.
The contact form. Your name, email address and message, stored on this site and used only to reply.
The newsletter. Your email address only, used to send the newsletter. Unsubscribing deletes it.
Booking through an affiliate link. Nothing is collected by us. The partner sets its own cookie so the booking can be attributed.
Advertising and cookies
This site may show advertising served by Google AdSense. That means the following.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Who else sees it
- Hostinger: web hosting. Its servers keep standard access logs.
- Google Analytics: visit statistics.
- Google AdSense: advertising, as described above.
- Google Fonts: the typefaces on this site load from Google’s servers, which see your IP address.
- Travelpayouts and its partner programmes: attribution of bookings made through affiliate links.
- Pexels: some photographs load from Pexels’ servers, which see your IP address.
- Gravatar: the author photo loads from Gravatar.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask for a copy of anything held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@roamdusk.com and it is done within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
